One of the most rapidly growing business areas is e-commerce. E-commerce sales were up from 86 billion in 2005 to over 101 billion in 2006. Despite what some people are calling a weak year economically, e-commerce sales are expected to breach the 131 billion mark this year.  Most of the larger businesses already have an internet presence; some businesses even exist solely on the internet.

During our never ending search for business opportunities, we at ‘Of the Net Inc.’ were looking at these numbers and trying to find a way to tap into such a large market while finding a niche not already covered by one of the larger, established e-commerce websites. With Roll-A-Rebate we believe we found our answer.

Roll-A-Rebate is a project patented by ‘Of the Net Inc.’ that offers retailers who do not already have an established e-commerce site to have a very easy to use online presence without the costs of owning/running their own website. By allowing numerous retailers to band together to form an online mall of products, you increase the amount of capital that can be sunk back into marketing and advertisement. You also gain exposure to consumer demographics that might not normally be present due to the wide variety of products that will be featured from other stores that are also using the service. roll-a-rebate is only an online storefront, there is no handling of the actual merchandise sold by the retailers, all products are stocked and shipped by the merchant, we offer the merchants tools to help manage inventory as an added feature, to manage there account and products.

Roll-A-Rebate promises to attract consumers by playing into their never ending quest to find a great deal online. By allowing those to effectively ‘Roll’ for a ‘Rebate’ they will visually get to see their discount materialize while hopefully having fun. During this time, they will be exposed to a showcase of products that are featured. At any time, the customer will be able to browse the mall of products to search for something in particular.

Roll-A-Rebate has a three-fold revenue process. First, Merchants pay a flat monthly fee to use the service. This fee goes towards Roll-A-Rebates advertising costs and upkeep. The amount paid is determined by the product placement desired by the merchant, the better the placement, the more they pay – there is also a ‘no charge’ monthly option for new merchants that results in their products being on Roll-A-Rebate but not featured. Second, Merchants pay a commission to Roll-A-Rebate based on the sales of their products. Third, there is reserved space on the website for advertisement. A Merchant or Business can choose to have their store/website featured/advertised on Roll-A-Rebate for a fee based on the location and size of the advertisement.  The Advertisement placement and Monthly Fee allow Roll-A-Rebate to have a steady revenue flow.

The goal of Roll-A-Rebate is to tap into a large consumer base to maximize the return on commission fees. This in turn fuels the desirability for product placement, new merchants and advertising – which grows the business. This is where you come in. As an investor in Roll-A-Rebate, you can help us grow during our initial infant stages. Money invested will be spent on accelerating the marketing phase which will result in increased website traffic. While initially the product selection might be thin compared to other e-commerce websites, the growing traffic as well as the ‘no risk’ provided by the ‘no charge’ option will allow us to grow in the Merchant/merchandise area. This in turn will result in traffic that ultimately finds products they will purchase which sets the wheel in motion.

As a project of ‘Of the Net Inc.’ our ultimate goal will be to eventually sell a complete and functioning website with already established customer bases and merchant affiliations. This is the time investors in Roll-A-Rebate will see a return on their investments. With the website already completed and functional and only the marketing/advertising aspect left to completion we anticipate a 1-2 year timeframe for this to happen. Initial market testing of our product has proven successful on the local level and we at ‘Of the Net Inc.’ are confident that our timeframe can be met.
